My name is Billy Cleary and I was born and raised in Long Island. I worked for three major media companies and being laid off and starting over again at a dead end job once again, I realized working in the television industry wasn't the right career path for me or my true passion.  My photography journey began soon after when I took a subway ride into NYC to B&H and mentioned to the customer representative my interest in purchasing a camera.                                                                                                                           I have been living in Riverdale for the past several years. During Covid time, I began posting on social media and the feedback was a bit surprising and overwhelming.  Among the several messages that I received, there were messages from two elderly ladies that stood out from the others.  Both ladies mentioned that they felt confined to their apartments because of the pandemic, and they looked forward to seeing my pictures being posted because they brought back wonderful memories from the past.                                                                                                                                                                 These types of messages came more and more and inspired me to take my photography journey to the next level and broaden my horizons.  I've had the opportunity to take pictures in several parts of New York over the years but my favorite places to take pictures are in the Bronx at Van Cortlandt Park and Wave Hill in Riverdale. I enjoy Landscape photography, Product photography, Portrait and street photography. My goal is turn my passion for photography and build a platform of opportunity while I contuniue to learn, grow and connect with my audience.
